Hello...
On new beginnings.
Beginnings are hard for everyone.
Embarking on new beginnings is wild! It can be both exhilarating and challenging especially because they often demand stepping out of one’s comfort zone and embracing unfamiliar territories. The real feat is not just navigating the unknown but summoning the courage to undertake a new thing and blossoming from it.
So, how did I get here?
I never saw myself as a writer but I keep journals where I write down thoughts that come to me when I’m reading a book or studying the bible or during my meditations. When I write in my journal, I almost always get this question in my mind: who are you writing for? And I always tell myself, for my future self.
This morning, I told my husband I wrote a poem and would love to share it but I don’t know where to share! On my WhatsApp status? On Facebook (which I hardly ever open)?
He told me “Substack!” I answered “but I don’t have an account?!” And then he reminded me I actually do because I leave comments on his newsletters (The Branch Letters).
Now what?
But this post isn’t about Substack. It’s about new beginnings and acting on a new idea that comes to you, and having a community to share thoughts and learn with.
So, welcome to “Gbemisola’s musings” where I'll be sharing glimpses of my thoughts, reflections sparked during my quiet moments with the Bible, worship, and meditation. 📖 Please join me in exploring the beautiful revelations that grace my thoughts. Beyond the spiritual aspect, you'll catch snippets of my adventures leading the children's church, a role dear to my heart. 🧒👧 And, of course, I’d share insights from my decade-long career journey and serving my King in the local church. 🌷💖
I won't promise consistency as I’m just dipping my toes into this adventure, but I do pledge authenticity so, expect a touch of spontaneity!
So, cheers to me for taking this first step, and a standing ovation for my husband Joel Osoba for pushing me this morning to “just put it on Substack”! You pushed me to embark on this new beginning, and I do not take it for granted.
Will you walk with me on this journey too? If yes, please subscribe!

Yay!!! Getting ready for the ride 😁
Excited for this!!!
